Pricing & Fees

Last updated: 22 May 2026

Nextdoorly is free to use. We only earn when an owner earns.

Renters

£0 service fee. You pay the price the owner lists, plus any delivery fee they offer. No booking fee, no membership, no hidden charges.

Owners

12.5% commission on the rental price of each completed booking. That's it — no listing fee, no monthly subscription, no charge for unbooked listings.

  • Listing items: free
  • Receiving bookings: free
  • Commission: 12.5% of the rental price (excluding any delivery fee and deposit, which are passed through to you in full)

Worked example

  • You list a pressure washer at £20/day
  • A neighbour books it for 3 days = £60 rental
  • Nextdoorly commission: £7.50 (12.5%)
  • You receive: £52.50 (plus any delivery fee you charged, paid to you in full)
  • The deposit guarantee is not charged upfront. It is only charged if a damage claim is approved

Deposits

The security deposit set by the owner is a guarantee on the renter's card, not a charge. Nothing is taken upfront. If a damage claim is filed and approved, the renter's card is charged for the claim amount (up to the deposit) and that money is paid to the owner in full — Nextdoorly takes no cut of deposits. If no claim is filed, nothing is ever charged.

VAT

Nextdoorly is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our commission.

Refunds & cancellations

If a booking is cancelled or refunded, commission is refunded proportionally. See the Cancellation & Refunds Policy for full details.

Changes to fees

We may update our fees in future. Any change will be announced in advance via the Platform or email and will only apply to bookings made after the change takes effect. The current rates are always shown on this page.
